Position: English Teacher
Term: 1.5-year contract (Renewable)
Starting: ASAP
Location: Kannami, Shizuoka prefecture, Japan
Salary: 275,000 yen /month, 5000 yen /month for health insurance costs
Requirements: University degree and TESL certification. Teaching experience preferred.
Teaching conversational English to adults, teens, and children (including “Parent & Baby” classes), both group and individual lessons at a friendly, family-oriented private school.
Teachers are expected to follow assigned curriculum and guidelines of the school, but are responsible for planning the details and delivery of their lessons independently and are encouraged to use their creativity in their teaching.
Teachers also attend special events (e.g. Halloween party) outside of normal working hours, paid at overtime rate.
Training: 2-3week training period at 5,000 yen / day
Hours: 41 hours / week, 26 hours / week teaching time. Over 26 classroom hours is paid at overtime rate (2000 yen / hour).
Additional Benefits:
Approximately 4 weeks paid vacation per year (2 weeks at Christmas time). Holidays are set according to the school’s schedule.
Accommodation arranged by the company. Each teacher has an individual apartment. ( 51,600 yen per month.) Utilities arranged through the company.
Basics provided- futon, refrigerator, washing machine.
We arrange necessities such as work visa, foreign resident’s card, bank account, national health insurance, etc.,
